Nap Can Improve Diabetes Attack

The study of 16,480 people showed their naps have 26 percent chance of developing diabetes is higher than that does not take a nap.

Some factors that may cause the disease is a disorder of sleep that night and the link between napping and decreased physical activity.

But researchers are still going to assess whether factors such as genetics and being overweight play a more important role.

"We already know that people who are overweight, that because this issue has a greater chance of developing diabetes, may experience sleep disturbance," said Dr Iain Frame, Diabetes UK's Research Director.

"The new research could explain the possible link between sleep disturbance patterns and type 2 diabetes," he said.

But he added that so far with type 2 diabetes is caused by more factors are overweight, aged over 40 years old or have families who have had diabetes.

Diabetes is a serious condition that can cause long-term complications such as heart disease, stroke, blindness, kidney failure and amputation. (prayer / BBC)
